Laserscript CO2 machines are now supplied with Ruida controllers. RDWorks is the standard software which is supplied free of charge. However, the controller is also compatible with Lightburn (available on request at a small additional cost).
Leetro set ups with Lasercut are available on request for those preferring that arrangement.
RDWorks enables users to perform laser cutting and engraving operations. The software allows you to create lines, shapes, Bezier curves and text. It also uses a number of vector formats (such as .dxf, .ai and .plt ) and raster formats (such as .bpm, .jpg, .gif and .png).
RDWorks is compatible with Windows XP through to Windows 10. It is important to note that it is not used for creating complex designs, and is most useful when used in tandem with graphics programs like CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, Inkscape or 2D Design.
Files can be imported into RDWorks, enabling use of any preferred software to design files. This is especially useful for businesses and educational organisations that may choose to update or change their design software.
Lightburn has rapidly become one of the most popular programs for laser cutting and engraving, and for good reason. Not only does it have some clever features that can be used for editing, arranging, image tracing and creating on a blank canvas, Lightburn also acts as the communication platform to the laser machine itself. This means that some users might not need to use a more expensive full design package depending on their requirements. It’s great for both vector and raster work, and is incredibly easy to use.
It’s compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux, and you can pick up the DSP license key by contacting us. This includes a years-worth of updates, and software support from our expert technical support team.
Please contact us to learn more about these programs and to arrange a demonstration at our West Yorkshire showroom.
