Safe, Modular Enclosures for Class 4 Laser Applications

The UniSonic Laser Booth System is a fully enclosed working environment designed specifically for industrial laser welding operations.

Engineered in accordance with IEC 60825-1 standards, it provides a controlled, compliant, and highly adaptable solution for safely operating Class 4 laser equipment such as the HPC handheld handheld laser welding machine.

Built with both performance and practicality in mind, the system combines robust construction with modular flexibility, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial settings where safety, efficiency, and scalability are critical.

Ease of Installation & Customisable Design

One of the defining advantages of the UniSonic system is how straightforward it is to install and adapt. The booth is built using a modular panel system with a tongue-and-groove connection method, allowing components to fit together quickly and securely without complex assembly processes.

This significantly reduces installation time and minimises disruption to ongoing operations.

The structure itself is designed with simplicity in mind. Roof panels slot neatly into a pre-engineered frame, while floor profiles can be easily cut and adjusted on-site to suit specific layouts. With fewer components required compared to traditional enclosures, the entire system can be assembled efficiently with minimal specialist intervention.

Customization is equally seamless. The modular design allows users to configure the booth to their exact requirements, whether that involves adding doors, integrating laser-safe windows, or incorporating ventilation and extraction systems. Air inlets and intake grilles can be positioned flexibly within the wall panels, enabling compatibility with existing facility infrastructure.

Safety & Certification

Safety is at the core of the UniSonic Laser Booth System. Designed for Class 4 laser use, the enclosure incorporates multiple layers of protection to ensure safe operation in high-risk environments.

The system is equipped with a robust fail-safe interlock mechanism (PLd rated), which ensures that laser operation is only possible when all safety conditions are met. When the booth door is opened, the interlock immediately interrupts the laser process, preventing accidental exposure. Integrated LED warning indicators clearly signal when the system is active, enhancing operator awareness at all times.

A Pilz safety sensor monitors door status, while the internal control box includes a manual reset function, ensuring that the system cannot be restarted unintentionally. The booth is also designed to connect directly to the laser source via a remote interlock interface, creating a unified safety circuit between the enclosure and the equipment.

The integrated laser safety window is manufactured from double-glazed protective glass and complies with DIN EN 60825-4:2011 standards. It provides certified protection across wavelength ranges of 897–1190 nm, ensuring safe observation without compromising containment.
