We believe HPC Laser offer the best value machines available in the market today with unparalleled technical support and after sales service. Check out our Why HPC page to find out more about what we offer.

We take a responsible approach to machine safety and carry out all our CE compliance work here in the UK.

We don’t just import substandard machines from overseas and sell them on. We build our machines here in West Yorkshire to our customers requirements and we know them inside out. If you need a spare part for your machine or some advice on how to resolve a problem, we’re here to help.

We offer impartial and honest, practical advice every step of the way. If we don’t have the solution to your requirements we will say so rather than try to sell you something that won’t do the job.

Finally, we try to be nice, reasonable people to do business with and this is reflected in the frequent positive feedback we’re given from many of our customers.

Why can't I buy machines on your website?

For many people, the journey into lasers and CNC routers is a new one and we feel a duty of responsibility to ensure that all our customers are properly informed before making a purchasing decision.

We offer all our prospective customers impartial, honest and practical advice when considering which machine and laser power is best suited to their needs. We also offer free of charge bookable machine demonstrations at our showroom in West Yorkshire where you can spend around 90 minutes with one of our engineers to get the best advice around.

During our time in business we find that this approach works very well and avoids any situations where a customer has purchased a machine that isn’t right for their needs.

So if you’re considering investing in a machine please give us a call for some friendly advice – we’re here to help !

What warranty do you offer on your machines?

For all of our desktop machines (LS3020 and LS3040) we offer a 12 month return to base warranty.

What does a water chiller do and do I need one?

As standard, our CO2 laser machines are supplied with a plastic water tank and submersible pump. The pump connects to the back of the laser machine and circulates water from the tank, through the laser tube and back into the tank. Naturally, the more the machine is used, the more the temperature of the water increases. At 25°C you need to stop work and let the water cool or you risk damaging your laser tube.

A water chiller is a closed loop system with a water reservoir, a compressor and a refrigerant gas. The system actively cools the water in the reservoir and allows you to work the laser machine without the worry of excessive water temperature.

The water chiller also provides visible and audible alarms for water over temperature, water under temperature and flow restriction.

A chiller is easy to fit to your laser machine. Simply connect the outlet from the chiller to the water inlet of your laser machine. Then connect the inlet on the chiller to the water outlet on the laser machine. Fill the water reservoir with water (preferably deionised or distilled as these are better at preventing bacterial growth), ensuring that the water covers the refrigerant coils and switch on the chiller.

The chiller can be plugged into the back of the laser machine so that it works when the laser machine is switched on, meaning you don’t have to remember to turn on the chiller separately each time.

What does a fume filter do and do I need one?

As standard, our CO2 laser machines are supplied with a extractor fan and 2 lengths of flexible hose. One length of flexible hose is attached to the rear of the laser machine and then to the fan inlet. The other hose is attached to the outlet of the fan unit and the other end of the hose typically taken through a hole in an outside wall.

If you are unable to access external ventilation through an outside wall or ceiling, it may be helpful to consider one of our BOFA fume filters. These operate in place of the usual fan unit, extracting the air from the laser machine and filtering it, first through a HEPA dust and particle filter and then through a charcoal filter to remove the smell.

Fume filters incorporate replaceable cartridge filters which need to be replaced from time to time. The duration between filter changes is extremely difficult to predict as it is dependent upon many variables such as laser power, material being processed, complexity of the design etc.

We have dedicated a full guide to fume filters which you can find here.
